    Please join us for our annual Hunter Pace at the beautiful Walthour Moss Foundation! 


    Whether you're a Trail Blazer looking for a leisurely ride or a

    Coyote Run participant ready for a full canter, we have something for every rider. 

    We look forward to welcoming you to this spectacular event!

    Riders/Supporters

    Adult Adult rider with lunch.

    Junior:     Junior rider under 18 years old with lunch.  Must have one adult on a team.

    Patrons:    Two to three riders, 3 lunches, preferred start times.  

    Sponsors:    Two riders, 2 lunches preferred start times.  

    Divisions

    Each division has its own optimum time. 

    Coyote Run Teams will need to mostly canter, when safe to do so, as if following the hounds at Full Cry.

     Fox Chase:     Teams will need to move on at a brisk pace – mostly trot with some canter.

    Hilltopper:      Teams to ride at a moderate pace – mostly trot with some walk.

    Trail Blazer:    Teams to go at a leisurely pace – mostly walk.  (Trail Blazers will only compete on the short course.)

    Schedule

    8:30 am: Registration

    9:00 am - 11:30 am: The Competition

    11:30 am - 2:00 pm:  Lunch and Awards Ceremony


    Event Details

    Attire:  Comfortable riding clothing; hard hats required for jumping.

    Age Requirement:  

    Juniors under 18 are welcome, but each team must include at least one adult.

    Terrain:  Varied, with excellent footing for all riders.

    Course Options: Choose between a long course of 8-10 miles or a short course of 4-6 miles, each clearly marked with arrows.

    Jumps:  Optional jumps available in various sizes.

    Prizes:  Winners will be awarded prizes, with ribbons for the top six teams in each division.

    Special Instructions

    Teams:  If possible, send your entries as a team and list your team members.

    Start Times: Teams will be sent out at four-minute intervals, with Coyote Run teams starting first.

    Arrival:  Please arrive early for registration.

    Entry Fees: Non-refundable, but substitutions are permitted.

    Results: Posted as soon as they are tabulated.

    Awards: Will be presented at the Lunch following the Pace.





Guest Registration and Capping Fees

Limited to Three (3) Hunts per each Guest for the Season

Must be registered as a Guest by an MCH Member or Officer

Requirements:

N.C. Hunting License

N.C. Gamelands Sticker for Hoffman

Signed Current Liability Release Form

Negative Coggins Test

Members, we encourage you to invite guests who may be interested in becoming a MCH Member or are out of town friends who would like to ride with us.  We request that you register them, upload their waiver and Coggins and pay their capping fee ahead of the hunt.  Introduce your guests as you arrive and the hunt.  

Guests, if the Masters have given you permission, you may register yourself.  Introduce yourselves as you arrive at the hunt.

Then we get to go have fun with our new Hunting Buddies!
